10 most overrated singers

Here is my list and I have a great ear for this if I do say so myself.

1) Britney Spears- It's a no brainer. 100 million records sold and she is the worst recording artist I have ever heard. Next to Paris Hilton, who is not overrated because everyone knows she is bad.

2) Sarah Brightman- What Britney is to pop Brightman is to musical theatre. She seriously sounds like Britney up an octave. Never was a fan of how she can't pronounce words when she sings. We know Lloyd Webber made this woman but some people think she actually is that good. Let's put it this way- when Webber wrote a part for her it was about how a lunatic had to kill people in order to get her overrated voice in a lead part. Nuff said.

3) Nora Jones- Her claim to talent is being the neglected child of someone else talented. Look, it's sad her dad didn't treat her right but it doesn't make her a musician. She's got no hit songs she wrote and her voice is not smooth, it's frikkin weak and annoying.

4) Mandy Moore- Beautiful and a good actress but this girl has no voice.

5) Brandy Norwood- No voice. It was such a joke to see her in Cinderella with Whitney Houston.

6) Rihanna- Some people are not aware of how limited and non dynamic her voice is although most notice she doesn't have the best vocal timbre. Whoever thought it was a good idea to release singles of this girl doing ballads was nuts. She is fine doing dance hip hop but so is Paris Hilton.

7) Michelle Branch- I could play the piano accompanyments to this girl's songs with one hand. Her voice is nasal, annoying and limited in range. She has one decent song and even that is nothing to write home about.

8) Missy Elliot- A lot of people assume this woman must be very talented to make it as an unattractive and overweight black woman in the music industry. Suprirsingly, she is not. She does not sing, actually. She raps about vapid crap like "whispering kinky shit in my ear." Her songs suck and her voice does not exist.

9) Charlotte Church- It's not she's terrible. Just overrated. I did not like her annoying pseudo opera voice when she was a kid. It became fairly good as an adolescent and then turned into something neither here nor there. It's not a strong pop belt and it's got no potential in real opera. That 'voice of an angel' BS was a fraud.

10) Fantasia Barrino- She is not bad at all. Just extremely overrated. Her renditions are not expressive and her voice is just sort of there- thin, childlike, chip munky at times. She is not one of the strongest best singers out there like people make her out to be and she should be a lot better than she is for being in the limelight while looking that unsightly. She did not get the part in Dream girls- Hudson beat her with no problem.

I was extremely generous on this list. I did not include people that everyone knows is bad- Ciara, Madonna, Paris Hilton. I did not include people who don't sing well but are still musically creative- Nelly Furtado, Macy Gray, Jewel.

k, i would have to unfortunately agree with these people...um, i don't see the need for these people to be so aggressive, but you could've found worse. And as far as Madonna is concerned...um, you mention Nelly Furtado as acceptable cause of her osngs and performance...Nelly Furtado firstly, only became big once her newest album dropped because of those ever-so toxic beats of Timbalands...before that, she was merely Canadian-known....Nelly will accomplish 1/100th in her entire life that Madonna has. Madonna at her age still puts on insane shows, constantly tries (and sometimes fails) to put out different styles of music, owns and runs her own incredibly successful record label, an extremely fit body, and CAN sing very well....i don't know if you can sing, but she's generally on key when live and still moves around...

I don't know where your opinions come from, i respect them, and all i can do is try to persuade a different thinking, if i believe differently...especially someone liek Madonna..no one will ever see a woman work that hard.

1) Madonna isn't on the list. Why defend her? 'Bad' is perhaps not the best word for Madonna's singing. It's adequate and not unpleasant. Not overrated in general.

2) Dear extremely uneducated black person (who can't seem to grasp that fantasia barrino is described as 'not bad at all'), my condolences. It has to be tough getting through life with your mental limitations.

Dear humans in general- overrated means they are overrated, not that they are bad. Generally if people are really bad at something, they don't get much praise for it, hence they are not overrated.
