Giuliani shouldn’t be president. I mean, he should but he shouldn’t. Giuliani, hero of 911, the man that resurrected

Rudy and Mitt Romney are socially liberal. McCain is almost a social liberal and is a man of great integrity and leadership philosophy. Newt, for all his conservatism and under handed politics, is a well read, well informed and very bright man. This is an election without a Bush.
So what’s the danger with Giuliani? He’s pro choice, doesn’t hate gays, and clearly is the man to beat out terrorists and illegal immigrants and their crime gangs. The problem is what he’ll do to the executive office if he gets a chance at it.

Yeah, he’s right. Regan managed to stand against the
Because here’s the real danger with Rudy. The man will do what it takes to get results. He will take down and boss around. He’s tear the fuck out of the constitution, but he’ll make you like it. And Bush couldn’t do that. The media, the people, anyone with common sense keeps an eye on the Bush-Cheney crony machine. But Giuliani isn’t a slow thinking fake southerner. He’s too hard not to respect. That’s why he’s so popular amongst conservatives despite his social liberalism. Believe it, conservatives are willing to forgive his social liberalism in order to see someone take down illegal immigrants and terror threats and liberals will forgive his willingness to resort to authoritarian measures.
And really, it’s fine when it’s Giuliani. I’d vote Giuliani for dictator. I’m sure he’d be a competent one. The problem is, when it’s the person after Giuliani that inherits an office with greatly expanded executive powers. Because this person- he may be another Bush type. Hell, he could be Jeb Bush. And that would be a 4 years this country couldn’t handle.

"So what’s the danger with Giuliani? He’s pro choice, doesn’t hate gays, and clearly is the man to beat out terrorists and illegal immigrants and their crime gangs."
I totally disagree on the illegal alien point. He did virtually nothing to combat illegal aliens as mayor and he won't as president.
I do believe he will combat the gangs though.
About the only chance we have regarding illegal immigration is if he takes such a hardline on the drug war and terrorism that he actually implements tough border enforcement and gets the wall built.
Of course that doesn't do anything about cracking down on employers, interior enforcement etc...

I believe that Giuliani previously did not crack down on illegal immigration as much as possible because he wanted to use illegal immigrants as a resource to find information about minority crime gangs. He didnt want them to be afraid to come forward with information. Also, his ability to combat illegal immigration as a mayor was limited and also his priority at the time was reducing crime gangs and cleaning up the city. I think today he sees the need to take a strong stance on illegal immigration.

So what stops him from using the same excuse again?
"I'm sorry American people. I'm sorry that you have to sit back and watch as your education and health care systems are overloaded. I'm sorry that we waste billions of your tax dollars fighting illegal alien criminals and housing them in our jails. I'm sorry to all of the citizens and legal residents of this country who are the victims of illegal alien crime, including those kids out there who have been molested by them and women that have had their lives shattered after being raped by them. I'm sorry that there are illegal aliens driving down low wage workers pay. I'm sorry that there are illegal aliens making our citizenship look like a joke by coming across the border hours before dropping a kid on our soil and burdening the American people with the child care costs of their 'anchor babies' for at least the next 18 years. I'm sorry that there are illegal aliens fraudulently using welfare and social services. I'm sorry to the millions of victims of ID theft and the destruction of their credit rating after illegal aliens use their Social Security Numbers to obtain jobs and the IRS comes looking for all the taxes you owe since you made $500,000 last year at the 50 jobs you worked in 12 states. But hey, at least if there's a crime they may say something useful!"
*shakes head in disbelief at this argument*
Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice...

Well, I think he won't use the same excuse again because right now stopping illegal immigration is a priority that the american people expect to see results on. And Giuliani has been tough on illegal immigration at some points, such as when he took a side against allowing haitians that claimed to be political refugees into the country. The good thing is though, Obama has taken a stand against illgal immigration and every republican candidate is exptected to do the same. I think it's almost better if a democrat wins because they have to really prove they will do something about illegal immigration or else they likely will not get re-elected.

This sounds pretty egregious to me.

He's got no chance, his personal life has been a disaster, and the tv ads will shit all over him, and rightfully so. He's a pretty shitty guy. A pretty shitty guy indeed.

Bloggerette,
Forget Giuliani. We all know he will be a bad choice.
What do you think about Ron Paul as President?
